How to Participate:

In order to participate in the Professional BC Wedding Awards first visit the categories page of the website and choose the category applicable to you and/or your company. Fill out all of the information in the submission form for your category and upload any supporting files using the buttons at the bottom of the form. Press the 'submit' button. If all of the information fields have been correctly filled out you, will be taken to a screen indicating that your submission has been received. The next step is to pay your submission fee of $69 using the Paypal link. Once your payment and submission have been received, your information will be entered into the judging system where it will be judged, along with the other entries, beginning March 6th, 2019.


Eligibility:

The Professional BC Wedding Awards is open to any British Columbia based company that has been in legal business operation for at least 2 years, as of February 8th, 2019. Winners and finalists must be prepared to verify this 2 year requirement before being awarded with a winner or runner-up title. Verification of this information may be supported by any or all of the following: Business Number registration papers, Name Registration papers, Municipal Business license, proof of dated website domain registration. Work that is submitted for an award must be work completed for a wedding between February 8th, 2018 and January 31st, 2019. Employees of the Professional BC Wedding Awards, their partners, affiliates, divisions, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies are not eligible to enter the awards. Companies that sponsor the Awards Night may still make an entry for an Award.


Submissions:

Submission forms should be filled out carefully. Failure to meet the requirements as specified in the instructions at the top of each form will result in the entry being disqualified without compensation. Failure to pay the entry submission fee will result in that entry being disqualified. Any and all information provided in the submission form, including any media that accompanies it, may be used for publication, online or in print, by the Professional BC Wedding Awards.


Judging:

The Professional BC Wedding Awards has taken great care to ensure the integrity and unbiased scoring by the judges for the awards. Any judge who is found to be exercising any bias whatsoever, will be disqualified from the judging process and his/her scores will not be counted. All of the judging positions for the Professional BC Wedding Awards are voluntary and the judges are not paid for their involvement. Judges may receive an honorarium at the completion of the judging process at the discretion of the Professional BC Wedding Awards. By submitting material to the Professional BC Wedding Awards, entrants agree with the judging system and agree to accept their findings as fair. Judges will be scoring entries in five different categories and awarding a score out of 10 for each category, the first second and third highest scores for a category will be the first, second and third place entries respectively. In the event of a tied score, the Professional BC Wedding Awards reserves the right to award more than one first, second or third place title.


Category Entries:

In the event of a category receiving an insufficient number of entries that category may be cancelled. In the event of a cancelled category due to insufficient entries those companies who submitted will be contacted and a refund will be issued. In the event that all of the entries for a given category fail to meet at least the average score for all entries in all categories, an award will not be issued for that category and the entrants will not be refunded. The quality of the submissions for that category will be deemed too low for an award to be given. Based on the final scores for a category, it is possible that not every category will have a winner and 2 finalists, in order for 2 finalists to be given the scores for those entries must be greater than the average score for all entries in all categories.


Winners and Finalists:

Winners and finalists may use the appropriate logo for their category and position for a period of two years following the Awards Gala evening. The Professional BC Wedding Awards logo may not be altered in any way and doing so will be a breach of the agreement between the award winner and the Professional BC Wedding Awards and the retraction of the permission to use the logo. The winners must always include the name of their award category when using the Professional BC Wedding Awards logo. The logo remains the property of the Professional BC Wedding Awards at all times throughout the World. Online use of the logos must link to the Professional BC Wedding Awards page. Award winners agree to allow the use of the information supplied by them to the Professional BC Wedding Awards for any purpose seen fit by the Professional BC Wedding Awards, excluding the sale or use of that company's information by or to a third party. Winners may be asked to provide information or relevant industry content material to the Professional BC Wedding Awards and it is expected that the winning companies will oblige these requests.


General Rules:

All submissions and accompanying material will become the property of The Professional BC Wedding Awards and will not be returned to the submitting company. Decisions, judging and scoring information regarding the submissions for this awards competition and the selection of the winners remain with the Professional BC Wedding Awards, its sponsors and their promotional agencies and are final. Prizes must be accepted as awarded. Awards may not be transferred to another individual or company. Entrants agree to abide by the submission rules and must agree to accept the decisions of the judges, which are final. By entering, all of the prize winners agree to sign a standard release and indemnity form, releasing the sponsors, their affiliates and respective advertising and promotional agencies from any liability in connection with this competition or the prize awarded. In the event that the winning entrant does not comply with all of the provisions contained in these rules, terms and conditions, The Professional BC Wedding Awards shall have the right to disqualify the selected winner and select an alternate winner based on the judges scoring for the next highest scoring entry and the Professional BC Wedding Awards, its sponsors and promotional agencies shall be fully and completely released and discharged from any liability or responsibility in this regard. By accepting a winner or runner-up title in this competition, the winners and finalists agree to hold the Professional BC Wedding Awards, their sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotional agencies, their respective directors, officers and employees harmless from and against any and all claims and liability arising out of or in any way connected with the operation of this awards competition and use of a winning or runner-up Title and/or the Professional BC Wedding Awards logo(s). The winners and/or finalists assume all liability for any injury or damage caused, or claimed to be caused, by participation in this competition or the use of a winner or runner-up title. By participating in this awards competition, entrants agree to be bound by the official awards competition rules and regulations and the decisions of the awards competition judges. By entering this awards competition all entrants agree to the use of their name, address (city and region only), photograph, and/or video for publicity purposes, including a winners list, relating exclusively to this competition without compensation. The Professional BC Wedding Awards reserves the right to disqualify any individual that it finds to be violating these official awards competition rules and regulations, tampering with the entry process or tampering with the operation of the web site or Professional BC Wedding Awards software. The Professional BC Wedding Awards reserves the right to refuse an entry from a person whose eligibility is in question or who has been disqualified or is otherwise ineligible to enter. The Professional BC Wedding Awards reserves the right to modify or cancel this Competition in the event of technical corruption, virus, bugs, non-authorized human intervention or any other technical problems, which may arise from time-to-time beyond the control of The Professional BC Wedding Awards destroying the integrity of this awards competition. No liability or responsibility is assumed by the sponsors resulting from user attempts to participate in this awards competition or if required, entering of any information or uploading of any data necessary to participate in this awards competition. Entrants hereby agree and consent to the collection of his/her personal information for the purposes of administrating this awards competition. Each of the award winners and finalists information shall be disclosed to the awards competition sponsors and the awards competition judges, specifically the winners' and finalists name, mailing address, telephone number and/or e-mail address shall be disclosed as this information is required to award the winners and finalists titles for this competition. Where applicable, this competition is subject to all federal, provincial, regional and local laws.
